I graduated from Katella High in 2009 and then started at Cal State Fullerton in the fall. I am the middle child of three. I love my family and experiencing moments with them is the best feeling in the world. I am left-handed and also the first person in my family to graduate from a university. I love exploring and going on road trips that take me out of Orange County. I am big fan of Marvel and DC Comics! I am down to watch these movies with y’all. I am a foodie meaning I love food in general, with the exception of guacamole/avocado. People will recognize me by my curls and they’re my best feature. You can look but you can’t touch…maybe just a pat! Lol. I love to dance banda music, in particularly zapateados (catch me on the dance floor at the banda parties!). For my third year in Educational Talent Search, I was promoted to College Advisor, specifically working with seniors at the high schools where the program services. I love my job! I am also looking for outreach programs to either volunteer or intern at. Future plans: I would like to travel outside of Orange County, whether it be in California or a different, and just see the world. One of my dreams is to go on vacation in Europe and just soak up the different environments and cultures that are present. I look forward to moving up in my career in terms of working with high school students. I will also be preparing for the GRE and applying to a masters program for fall 2017. I don’t know which campuses I’ll be applying to, so I hope I’ll have a concrete idea when it is time to apply. Another thing that is on my list is to get involved in HU as an alumnus. I want to contribute to HU, whether it is through National Board or my CSUF familia. My involvement with HU doesn’t stop now that I have graduated; I have an opportunity to further grow as an individual and give back to the organization that I love. |
